We are very proud of our library and all that it offers to residents and visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
Mark Twain wrote, “In a good book room, you feel in some mysterious way that you are absorbing the wisdom contained in all the books through your skin, without even opening them.”
At the library you will find books, e-books, music, movies, magazines, puzzles and newspapers. There are computers and copy machines. You can use the free wi-fi. There are chairs and tables for you to sit and relax and work! There are children, teen and adult programs. There are reading groups and book discussions. Most of these programs are funded by the Friends and are free to participants.
We extend an invitation to you to join the Friends of the Punta Gorda Library. Your membership helps us provide funding for the library and therefore the community at large.
Our hope is that, after your first visit, you will return often!
