Volunteer

In the Friends Bookstore

The Friends Bookstore is under the direction of the Friends of the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library Board of Directors and is managed and run by volunteers.

Volunteers wait on patrons, add up purchases, take money and make change, accept donations, clean books and other media and shelve donated items.

A volunteer may be sitting or standing up to 3 hours per shift.

If interested in volunteering in the Friends Bookstore, send an email to: info@friendspg.org or stop by the Bookstore and pick up an application.

Friends of the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library reserves the right to screen volunteers and to accept or reject applications.

In the library

Library Volunteers assist patrons as needed, sort and shelve library materials, support staff with programs and work on special projects.

If you are interested in volunteering in the library, you will need to fill out the Charlotte County Volunteer Application at: librariesandhistory.my-trs.com
